Thinking about The future of food and Monsanto...

I watched the Future of food and Food Inc. What I see before me is a diabolical communism of farming controlled my Monsanto. They control the GMO seeds the farmer's basically have to grow. If they try to grow organic seeds, but have any cross contamination by blowing winds, then they are sued by Monsanto for violating the patent law. How is this even possible?

So Monsanto makes this GM product that has an ANTIBIOTIC resistant marker. We are becoming antibiotic resistant.We are eating this food and then eating it again as it goes into feed for our eggs and our milk and our meats. Bee's which are dying, are also eating this food, the proverbial canary in the mine. These things are also going into our honey so now our honey has GM traits. The fact that the bees are dying should tell us right there that GM products are effecting them and will effect us. Rats were proven to have lesions in thier stomachs after eating GM foods. Now MORE GM products are being made. ANd they are not required to be labeled. Does any one else see the problem with this?

Talking about Healthcare reform...

This makes me so damn mad. Not that everyone shouldn't have healthcare, but we have to pay for it?!! For people that don't want to work???? We can barely get by as it is. After our doctor's bills, groceries and daily expenses, there us always more month tan money. My solution,legalize pot and prostitution and make them pay for it. Tax those things. Tax cigarettes more. Those are the things that cause more health problems as it is! Obama is really starting to piss me off. Tell you what, just tax the -effers in congress and make them pay for it.. oh yeah, then they couldn't have their boats and hookers. I forgot.

Talking about baking my own bread

I've decided to start baking my own bread. With everything that is in high fructose GENETICALLY MODIFIED corn syrup, how can I, in good conscious, give that to my family? It's easier than I thought. It just take up more time. The thing is, I want to be more self-sufficient. I want to know that I can feed my family if I need to. I want them to put god food in their bodies. Modern medical science has pretty much cured every disease that used to kill us, you know measles, pneumonia, bacterial infections etc. So we've invented a ton of new diseases like heart disease,cancer and diabetes to take their place. Plastics and chemicals are invading out blood stream. How can these companies keep making things that hurt us? All for the mighty dollar. It's really one of those things where we are going to have to take care of our own.

My question is, where do we go from here? When will everyone else see the bigger picture? We are becoming soft and lazy, relying on technology to make our lives easier, when really we are taking our own power away from ourselves. Does anyone else think that all of the chemicals and things we are putting into our bodies are what's causing a ton of our medical problems?

I feel like baking bread is just one small step towards getting the power back to feed my family.

We might be out of the wilderness, but everything in front of us is still wild, we just think we've tamed it.
